Made from dried pieces of Cocoa Beans Organically Grown in Peru. They have a bitter, chocolatey flavor. They’re produced from beans derived from the Theobroma cacao tree, also known as the cocoa tree. Cocoa beans are dried after harvesting, then fermented and cracked to produce small, dark bits — or cacao nibs. Cacao nibs offer the perfect opportunity to add texture, chocolatey flavor, and a unique twist to a huge variety of baked goods. Use nibs instead of nuts in cookie recipes; stir a spoonful into cake batter; sprinkle them on top of brownie batter before popping it in the oven or even add them to your pancake mix!
