Our wholemeal flour has been produced using traditional stoneground milling methods, which means unlike refined flour it retains all of its nutritional goodness, B & E vitamins, antioxidants, fibre, protein, minerals and healthy oils.
We produce our Stoneground Wholemeal at the Little Mill in Bennettsbridge. The mill has a long history and is the only commercial mill of its kind still in operation. The old leather belts that still drive the mill stones date back to pre-war times. The friction created by milling on traditional stones gives our flours a unique nutty flavour profile. Our mission at the Mill is to produce speciality products of unique artisan quality.
This unrefined natural sugar has been very carefully produced to lock in rather than refine oout, the natural molassess of the sugar cane. It is the difference which gives Billingtons Sugar its unique richness, depth of flavour and natural coulour.
