To produce the delicious La BIO IDEA tomato products, a lot of tomatoes are needed (1 bottle of Passata of 700 grams requires about 1.5 kg of fresh, selected round tomatoes.) The tomatoes are grown in the south of Italy (Puglia, Campania, Molise ) and in part of Northern Italy (Emilia Romagna). Passata is extremely suitable as a basis for tomato sauce or soup.
